About the Play
Audience members are transformed into uninvited photographers for

LIFE MAGAZINE.

The location is Finca Vigía - the Cuban home of

Ernest Hemingway.

The year is 1959 - one year before the author took his own life.

“Everything in the play is based on events recounted by Ernest Hemingway and those who knew him.
Whether or not all these events actually happened is something we’ll never know truly.
But Hemingway and those who knew him claimed they did.”     -John deGroot

Pulitzer Prize winning journalist

Dr. Roberto Herrara, the Cuban physician who cared for Hemingway during his later years after the two first met in Spain during the Civil War.

Glady's Ferrero, director of the Hemingway Museum at Hemingway's home in Cuba.

Tillie Arnold, the widow of Hemingway's old hunting pal at Sun Valley, Idaho, and the one who cleaned up the gore the author left when he shot himself in the foyer of his home that Sunday morning in July of 1961.
